The DHOKRA is one of the earlist known method of metal casting. This crafts dates back to the pre-hisptoric time of Harappa and Mohanjo-Daro period of indus Valley Civilisation and is belived to be the oldest craft in India. The ancient art of cire-perdue or lost wax method of metal casting is practiced from last 200 years by the tribal people of Bastar, Chhattisgarh, India.
